”If I have séx, I will sing about it”, Gospel musician, Maheeda
Musician Maheeda has always been known for courting controversy. So when the singer, who is famous for her semi-nudé photos, suddenly proclaimed last year that she was born-again, the news was received with amusement and disbelief.
And it seems they were right to take her “conversion” with a pinch of salt. The star, who became a gospel musician when she reportedly converted, is not born again anymore.
She has reportedly returned to her old ways of posting pictures of herself, half-clad, on the internet.
One of her fans apparently caught wind of her “backsliding” when she made a less than Christian comment and he challenged her by asking on Twitter if it was true that she was into gospel music. And to this Maheeda reportedly responded:
“My music is based on life. If I have séx, I will sing about it.”
Well, there you have it.
Women’s Health – 9 Factors That Affect The Health Of The V**Ina!!!
Vaginal health is an important part of a woman’s overall health. Vaginal problems can affect your fertility, desire for s*x and ability to reach climax. Ongoing vaginal health issues can also affect other areas of your life, causing stress or relationship problems and impacting your self-confidence.
1. Unprotected s*x. You might contract a sexually transmitted infection if you have unprotected s*x.

Ladies >>Must Read : Causes of smelly váginá and how to fix it
Most women experience feminine issues from time to time. Unfortunately, the fact that they’re common doesn’t make them any less embarrassing. Feminine odor is especially frustrating, because it can leave you feeling unclean and gross, even if that’s not the case. There are lots of causes for feminine odor, but here are the top five culprits.
Bacterial vaginosis
Bacterial vaginosis (BV) sounds like a big scary term, but it’s actually very common. In fact, BV is the most common cause of váginal odor, according to the Mayo Clinic.
What stress does to your body
Every vágina is filled with naturally occurring bacteria, and BV is simply an overgrowth of that bacteria. According to Mary M. Galenberg, M.D., OB-GYN for the Mayo Clinic, most women in their reproductive years will experience at least one case of BV. The cause is unknown, but unprotected s3x and frequent douching can put you at a higher risk. Other symptoms include itching, soreness and discharge.
Some cases of BV will go away on their own, but Planned Parenthood recommends that all women with BV symptoms visit their doctor for treatment to prevent rare but serious complications. Treatment for BV is usually as simple as a course of antibiotics.
Yeast infection
A yeast infection is also very common (and very uncomfortable!). They present much like BV, with the addition of a thick, white discharge. Yeast infections don’t require antibiotics and instead can be treated with one- or three-course váginal anti-fungal treatments. Your doctor may also recommend a one-time oral anti-fungal treatment.
Symptoms of a yeast infection
Treatment for yeast infections has become very simple and can even be purchased over-the-counter. Most of these treatments tend to get messy, so it’s better to use them overnight.
Galenberg recommends you visit your doctor if you are experiencing these symptoms but have never been diagnosed with a yeast infection, as well as if treatment doesn’t resolve the symptoms or you get four or more infections in one year.
Séxually transmitted diseases
Some STDs can cause feminine odor, the most common being chlamydia and gonorrhea. Both diseases are common and easy to treat, but can cause serious complications if they go untreated. Unfortunately, both are also often undiagnosed because they may or may not produce symptoms. The most common symptoms of chlamydia and gonorrhea include painful urination and puss-like discharge, although an unpleasant odor is often present as well. See your doctor immediately if you are experiencing any of these symptoms and avoid risk by abstaining or using protection during séx.
Pelvic Inflammatory Disease
Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) occurs when bacteria (usually séxually transmitted) travel through the vágina into the uterus. It is often a late-stage result of an undiagnosed STD, such as chlamydia. PID usually isn’t diagnosed until you experience chronic pain or have trouble getting pregnant because it often doesn’t have symptoms. If symptoms of PID do present, they may include pelvic pain, odor, heavy discharge, fever, fatigue, painful intárcourse or painful urination.
PID can often be treated with antibiotics, though it may leave behind scar tissue that has lasting effects. According to Galenberg, lasting effects might include chronic pain, infertility or ectopic pregnancies.
Poor feminine hygiene
It’s possible that the cause for your feminine odor may be nothing more than poor hygiene. We’ve got a lot of complicated parts down there, and caring for them isn’t always easy. Make sure you’re covering all your bases to keep your lady parts fresh and clean.
First and foremost, make sure you’re washing thoroughly every day. Women have oil and sweat glands in the váginal area that, while completely natural, can cause odor if not attended to. Use mild, fragrance-free soaps, because anything else can upset that sensitive area and lead to even more troubles. Make sure you wipe from front to back after using the restroom and wear clean underwear every day, even if you don’t have time to shower.
12 Must-haves for women’s health
There are a lot of products out there that claim to help with odor and keep our parts “presentable,” but stay away from them. Dou ches, sprays, cloths and creams all claim to help women achieve some sort of super-cleanliness, but they actually cause more problems than they solve. Douches remove some of the bacteria that work to keep your vágina healthy, and scented products have been known to cause irritation.

The quest to reverse the human ageing process
Can we reverse the human ageing process? A small pilot study gives tantalising hints that it might just be possible.
This is not about applying fancy skin creams or scientists with a formula or eternal youth.
Rather, the research suggests that comprehensive lifestyle changes - reducing stress, improving diet and moderate exercise - may increase the length of telomeres, the ends of chromosomes that control cell ageing.
That lifestyle is not exactly that of a warrior monk - but keep that analogy in mind for later where we will discuss the cult 70s TV series 'Kung Fu'.
Let's deal first with telomeres. These are stretches of DNA which protect our genetic code. They are often compared to the tips on shoelaces as they stop chromosomes from fraying and unravelling and keep the code stable.
Biological ageing
But each time a cell divides the telomeres get shorter, until the point that the ageing cell can no longer divide and it becomes inactive or 'senescent' and dies.
Telomere length is one indicator of biological age. Shorter telomeres are associated with a range of age-related diseases including cancer, heart disease and dementia.
Researchers at the University of California followed a group of 10 men with prostate cancer and asked them to eat a plant-based diet, do exercise, and manage their stress with techniques such as meditation and yoga. They also had group support sessions and lectures on diet and health from medical staff.
The men's telomere length was measured at the start and then five years later. It was compared with a control group of 25 men who were not asked to make any changes to their lifestyle.
Whereas the telomeres of the control group had shortened by an average of 3%, those of the healthy lifestyle group had lengthened by an average of 10%.
You can read more about the research, published in The Lancet Oncology here.
That is a striking result, but we should not read too much into it. This was a tiny study, and the authors are careful to stress that a much bigger trial would need to replicate the findings before knowing whether the results are significant.
What's more, the changes did not show any direct positive health effect - some of the men may have had longer telomeres but whether they will live longer is another matter.
Dr Lynne Cox, lecturer in Biochemistry, University of Oxford said: "There are two things to bear in mind here: firstly, short telomeres that occur as result of chronic stress are highly associated with poor health, and studies in mice have shown improved tissue health when telomeres are restored experimentally.
"Secondly, by contrast, globally increasing telomere length in cancer-prone mice actually predisposes to more aggressive cancers. The small increases in telomere length in this new human study are more likely to correlate with improved health than cancer risk, though it is too early to be definite."
A monk's life
Forget about the genetics: it is simpler to examine the lifestyle changes that may be beneficial for health. No-one doubts that regular exercise carries a host of health benefits - from reducing cancer risk to cutting the chance of diabetes, heart problems and stroke.

The healthy lifestyle men in the study did at least 30 minutes walking six days a week.
The other measures included a largely vegetarian, low-fat diet, yoga, meditation, relaxation and increased social support.
So what sort of people lead a life like that? The Press Association put it like this:
"Living like a warrior monk...may have a transcendental effect on your cells, a study has shown. Lifestyle changes that bring to mind David Carradine's "grasshopper" character in the cult 1970s TV series 'Kung Fu' have the power to reverse ageing at a fundamental level, evidence suggests."
'You are not ready grasshopper'
I remember 'Kung Fu' with great affection. In every episode the David Carradine character would turn the other cheek until - usually in the last few minutes - there would be a breathtaking display of martial arts...or general awesomeness (as Jack Black would say in 'Kung Fu Panda').
I have no memory whatsoever of the character being an advert for a long and healthy life - he continually escaped death by the narrowest margin. But it did make me and other devotees yearn to be able to do Kung Fu. For about five minutes.
A healthy lifestyle is a bit like that for most people - a great idea in theory - but in reality quite hard to put into practice.
Putting aside random illness and accidents, we all know pretty much what is needed to maximise our chances of a reaching a ripe old age in good nick. But few have the determination to live like a warrior Shaolin monk, let alone adopt a low-stress, low fat existence punctuated by regular bouts moderate exercise.
As the blind Kung Fu teacher Master Po used to say to his pupil Caine (David Carradine), after he had failed some superhuman feat of endurance: "You are not ready grasshopper". And neither are most of us either for the rigours of martial arts or the discipline that might lead to a longer and healthier life.

Nigeria vs Ethiopia: Elegbeleye Warns Eagles
The Director General of the National Sports Commission, Gbenga Elegbeleye said that he was relieved that Nigeria would be playing against Ethiopia in the 2014 World Cup qualifier instead of traditional heavyweight nations like Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana or Egypt.
He however added that facing Ethiopia would bring up fresh challenges and excitement.
He urged Stephen Keshi and the players to treat the match against Ethiopiawith all the seriousness the two-legged encounter deserved in order to ensure that Nigeria booked a place in the finals in Brazil. The former legislator who received the news of the final play-offs with satisfaction added that the Eagles should not underrate the Ethiopians, who according to him, are also a strong side in African football.
He said, “This pairing is nice if we consider the fact that we were able to avoid the big names in African football like Cameroon, Egypt, Cote d’Ivoire and Ghana but that doesn’t mean that we will stroll over Ethiopia to get the World Cup ticket.
“We all watched how well the Ethiopians played against the Super Eagles in the last group match of the last Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa which eventually ended in 2-0 Nigeria’s favour. One may say that if not for the individual brilliance of Victor Moses the Ethiopians could have held Nigeria to a draw.
“I believe we have the edge and quality players in the Eagles to deliver the World Cup ticket by beating Ethiopia.”
Elegbeleye said the NSC would fully back the team.
“I am also assuring the Nigeria Football Federation and the Eagles that the National Sports Commission will do all we can to support the team to qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.”
